Young Authors Writing Competition is a national competition for authors of fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry. Bibliothecareers, teachers and other professionals working with young people between the ages of twelve and eighteen are invited to support young people in our annual poetry competition. Library staff, educators and other experts working with young people between the ages of twelve and eighteen are welcome to support young people in our annually poetry competition. We do NOT approve contributions directly from young people. Competition contributions can be up to thirty line poetry on any subject. Enter a poetry in a Word file.

Enter the poet's name, his or her name, his or her name, city and state, as well as the name, titles, organization/school/library, his or her sponsorship name, his or her adress, and e-mail adress. Hand in one poetry per teenager. The closing date for entries is 31 December 2018. The VOYA jury selects the five best poetry.

This annual Student Poetry Contest is open to all pupils in classes 3-12 (including those trained and cared for at home), regardless of their past experiences or publications, unless this is forbidden.

Any participant may enter a poetry with no more than 20 rows on any topic and in any particular styles, except for specific (form poems) or obscured poetry (marking that covers another author's text to produce a poem), provided that the contents of the poetry are not crude or insulting, do not use secularity and are the participant's initial, personal work.

Participants must fill out the registration forms in full to be eligible for the competition and may not enter more than one poetry per competition. Competition dates: There is a Student Poetry Competition in progress. Submissions will be considered all year round and will be entered into the competition at the moment they are received. Every competition has a closing date of 30 April.

Next competition starts the next morning. The judging of poetry is done according to original, creative and creative art. Any poetry that does not meet the line limit requirement will disqualify you. Any poetry containing secularity, vulnerability or objectionable materials will disqualify you. First, second and third place wins will be determined in each of the four divisions (Division 1 - Grade 3-5, Div 2 - Grade 6-7, Div 3 - Grade 8-9 and Div 4 - Grade 10-12).

The Spirit of Education Award winner will be presented with a new computer kit and a trophies for the school's showcase. Contests are free of charge. It is not financially obliged to take part in the competitions or to be a winner. All copyright of the poems is reserved by the authors.

The winner verses will appear on this website with an unbroken copyrights note and can be featured in one of the next anthologies. Participation in the competition gives permission for poetry to be printed if it is chosen as the winner. The winner will be known on September 30. The winner will be informed by telephone, e-mail or post.

The winner's name and their poetry can appear on this website. Minors must have parents' consent to participate in the competition. The information refers to the 2018 competition. Flash competition is open to all pupils in classes 3-12 (including home trained and supervised children), regardless of their past experiences or publications, unless otherwise prohibit.

Competition data: Flash- contests are quick and enjoyable! The Flash competition will only be chosen on the basis of the entry and the winners will be chosen by lot. While Flash Contest poetry is not evaluated for authenticity, creative and artistry, poetry that does not meet the line limit criteria is subject to automatic disqualification.

The Flash competition winner will be contacted by e-mail and will have 72 hrs to collect their prize. Winner and contribution name may appear on this website. Minors must have parents' approval to take part in the competition.
