There are several ways to divide a fictional text by length, but the current agreement seems to be that everything under a thousand words is fictional trick. Everything larger than that but smaller than ten thousand words is a short history. Continue to go young writers and explore different length of history. Use some horrible storyline fictions to get this poor storyline out of your mind until it can be turned into something better. Bend your author-muscle on a well developped novel. Push the boundaries of your endurance when writing a big novel that you have to carry around the home with a fork-lift.

If you try everything before you get into a hurry, you might find that you are a much better short stories author than a author or not.
