Alternatively, you can learn more about short stories, essays and mixed genre pieces to decide what you want to call your work. After all, you can always call your project "a story inspired by real events" or "a work loosely based on my life". Somebody suggested writing fiction as "based on a true story". So how do you make a book based on a true history?

Wonder how you know how to make a book based on a true history? If you are a novelist, you will want to record it in an overwhelming tale that the reader just can't do. Shouldn't it be simple to translate true events into a history? You' ve got everything you need: character, events and the whole storyline.

But translating true events into the literal world almost always turns out to be frustrating hard work. This I know because I too have not managed to tell the seemingly "perfect" true tale. Would you like to know how to compose a book from beginning to end? Look at how to make a book:

I was eighteen years old when someone blown up a gasstation. This petrol pump was in physical contact with the shop that belonged to the same merchant. Certainly enough, an angry clerk had blown up the ward. But it was just a distraction so he could drag an ATM machine - stole from the grocer' s - into the forest, where he had enough robbery and content.

Doesn't that seem like a great basis for a based-on-a-true storyline? You have to make decisions about the individual people, their motivation and events in all tales based on real events. If you are directly or tangent to your role as a possible personality, a first, hard decision must be made.

I had the first trouble when I wrote my petrol stations history because of this notion. I' ve always filtrated it from my own point of view, and I had nothing to do with the main events of history. I worked on food history all through high schools and often sent money or receipt from the neighboring petrol stations back and forth.

I' m the main character in this one. But in fact, a lot of other folks - the arsonists, his woman, the cop who ran over the wires that caused the blast, the slaughterers who cut flesh on the other side of the cement walls when several hundred gallon of petrol burned up - are the true protagonists of the game.

So, I had to pull out of the whole thing. It is the first and often most hurtful stage in the implementation of true events in writing. It is often aching because in many cases you are more directly affected by the events I experienced during therson.

In most cases, however, it is best to move away from history. You' re tellin' a tale. It is the only way to move forward and create a book based on a true history. The majority of actual events have many different character roles. However, tales - good tales, at least - usually contain only a small fistful of people.

It' hard to use a large number of letters (unless you are Stephen King or you write about 100,000 words or longer). That seldom leads to a good tale. In order to tell the tale well, the scriptwriter coiled them all together to create four different kinds of personalities that made for an amusing film.

The film " true? Find out who is paramount to the storyline you're narrating and make brave decisions. It keeps your writing focussed and reduces the load of getting it "pretty" story-wise if you were to focus on getting it right story-wise. Maybe one of the major reasons we are writing a book based on true histories is to find out the "why", why should a mass murderer behave like that?

This was my missions when I was sitting down to make the history of the demolished filling stations. So, not only does he blow up the filling stations to repay her debt, he also does it to show her how far he would go to gain their interest and respectfull. The writing of tales is the best way to get them out!

There is often no way to know the real cause of any foreign tale you want to tell. And, because of the mad things we see and listen to, our invented truths are often very surprising. Simply make sure you are changing name, events and anything else that could be sending a suit that flies your way!

Not as important as prejudices, character and motivation, this shift is very unique to the course of things. That was the case for me at the filling stations. If events are summarized in short periods of time, they are more easily structured. However, when the events are distributed over the course of a few days, a few month and years, the work of organizing your history will be much more tedious.

Is it possible to rearrange events? Basically, an incident or sequence can be edited (or greatly modified) if: When none of these three things happens, the incident can probably be truncated (which is good tip for telling stories in general, by the way! That may seem a surprise, but the reader does not want to be real when he reads something "based on a true story".

The reader really wants a good tale, not just a true one. Their task is to examine the "true story" and deduce the best conflicts, the most risky decisions and the most convincing goals/motivations to make a good one. Did you ever experience something that would make a great history? Summarise for fifteen moments an incident that has happened in or around your own lifetime, that is just too insane to be true, and that would make for a great one.
