A number of businesses need to train their teams to work with a technical writer, PR executive or other individual who will tell their stories to the rest of the know. Authors may have a thousand different issues and are a nuisance to someone who is not used to explain "obvious" things to newcomers.
Technical editors, PR-Manager, Content-Manager - they are all teamplayers who need both their own resources and responses to their own queries. Get your crew ready. For after they have brought a writer onboard, they are "disturbed" more often. It is important that you clearly specify what you want from your author.
Failure to inform the authors of your expectation can lead to a serious dispute. You need instructions to help your staff know what to do. Authors, like design, always face the same issue. When you don't correctly describe your visions, a writer can hear: Never say that to a writer! When you are used to working yourself, you probably haven't produced many blogs and aren't used to doing so.
It is important to create report defaults, especially if you have never worked with an author (although it is a must, even if you have). There may be legal or ethics questions that your author should know about, based on your area. Expect such problems and tell your author about them. When the individual works in the offi ce and you want the entire managerial chain to be on their shoulder, choose what type of text should be authorized by other members of the group and create a participant directory.
Occasionally, organizations like to submit text to everyone in the agency, which takes longer to approve than the write time. Establishing time limits for the members of your teams helps your author to administer his work. When five persons are engaged in the authorization procedure, do not submit five messages to the author.
Think of it as the author and don't push. It' easier to talk to your author when you're both in the same room. They still need to be able to talk, and working from afar can present management with certain management issues. Timezone variations, distances, and even cultures can significantly affect the way you interacted with the other one.
It will help you to administer your author's work and successfully communicating even if you are in the same office: It' easy, free and a must for distance working.
