The Microsoft Publisher is an editorial and publishing tools for print and electronic publishing that is part of the Microsoft Office production Suite. Microsoft Publisher lets you author, modify, customize, and distribute all types of promotional materials with easy operation and powerful results.

Microsoft Publisher contains everything you need for your work, from basic greetings postcards to more complex newletters. The number of documents it contains to help you get up and running is one of the most important things in Microsoft Publisher: booklets, visiting card, calendar, labels, leaflets, reward certifications, and more.

In addition to this footage, Microsoft Publisher also lets you work with pictures, clip art, and pre-defined forms. Text and picture editing features in Microsoft Publisher make layouting documents simpler and more imaginative. Once the file is ready, Microsoft Publisher offers you a variety of ways to store or extract it, such as PDF or JPG.

The Microsoft Publisher is the office software for easily creating, adapting and releasing all types of publication.

Get to know the Publisher 2010

Microsofts Publisher 2010 is a tool for creating and printing and distributing your publication or document. Use Publisher 2010 to understand the pros and cons of using it. You' ll also find out more about the Publisher user experience, which includes the Ribbon, Rules and Tutorials, and Backstay Display.

If you have never used Publisher before, you'll probably find the user experience pretty much the same as other Microsoft Office applications. It does, however, contain some functions that have been specially developed for the creation of periodicals. When you use Publisher, you will see these functions, but you will also see some small changes compared to the 2010 release.

The Publisher provides a wide range of publishing template and other publishing utilities, which include booklets, newsletter, business card and toolbar. You may know that you can do most - if not all - of the above in Microsoft Word. Why not use this programme to produce your own releases? The advantage of Publisher is that it gives you more complete freedom over certain parts of your work.

Publisher, for example, provides a working space that makes it simple to work with different document types and formats. There is also a wider range of utilities that let you organize and adjust text, pictures and other items within the page borders. Publisher has certain benefits, but also the drawback that it is the least advanced application in the Office 2010 Suite.

Not included are the topic colours, enhanced photo manipulation utilities and many other new functions in Word and PowerPoint 2010. Publisher 2010 Publisher 2007 and 2003 is more similar in these respects than other recent applications in the Office suite.

When you start using Publisher 2010, you may find that you choose to produce certain kinds of publication in Word. This course is an introductory course to Publisher, but is not aimed at people who are not familiar with word processors. You must already be familiar with Microsoft Word to use Publisher in our course.

And if you're not yet happy using Word, read our Word 2010 Teaching Guide. When you are new to Publisher 2007 or 2003, you will see some changes to the 2010 user interfaces. Most importantly, it adds the Ribbon, which will appear in all Office 2010 applications. The editor has also added the backstage screen, which we will discuss later in this unit.

For most other cases, the publisher environments are the same as in previous releases. When you' re new to Publisher, you should take some free and easy access to the user interfaces. Multiple-page books can be displayed either as a one-page publication or as a double-page publication.

In order to see more or less detail in your publications, you can click and drag the scroll bar to enlarge or reduce it. Guidelines are horzontal and verz inal and appear on your publications as you edit them. The rules are at the top and lefthand side of your paper. When you format certain elements such as pictures or text fields, extra "Tools" tab pages are displayed.

In the Page Navigation section you can display and edit the pages of your publications. The first thing you'll see when you open Publisher is that the rules and policies used to align documents are slightly different from those in other Office applications.

Others in the Publisher ecosystem may seem more intimate. The ribbon, for example, shows the command you need to perform general publishing work. Certain tab pages, such as Text Field Tools or Image Tools, only appear if you are working with certain elements, such as text fields or pictures.

The Publisher provides a group of display utilities that allow you to manage the page layouts of your text, pictures and items. This display tool is intended for your use only. It can be turned on and off and does not appear in your print publications. Ctrl-click the View button and then find the Display group to open and browse to the display utilities.

To turn the various display modes on and off, click the control box. Some of the publishing display utilities include: Dragging the cursor over your paper and releasing it to insert the manual in the required area. Publisher 2010 includes the option to save, print and create publishing in the Publisher 2010 version of Publisher.

It' similar to the Office Button Menu from Publisher 2007 or the File Menu from previous publisher releases. Unlike these menues, however, it is a full-page display that makes working easy. Click the File tabs to open the background views. Check out the following pages to find out more about the different possibilities in the background screen.

Here you can modify various publisher settings. You can use your publications as PDFs, images, web pages, or e-mail them to other people. Or you can package your publications so that you can transfer them and any of their customized scripts, images, or other data to another computer.

In the printing area you can modify the printing preferences and start printing your publications. They can also see a thumbnail of how the publishing will look on the page. Here you can either add a new, empty publishing or select from a large variety of layouts. Information contains information about the latest publications.

Or you can process your company's information if you want publishers to include information such as your company's email and telephone number in your template documents. In addition, you can use the Design Checker to find any problems that could have a negative impact on your print work. You can also change the commercial printing preferences if you plan to print your paper in a professional manner.

In the " Last edited" area you can easily find recently processed documents and workbooks. Trusted items such as Save, Save As, Open and Close are now in Backstage View. Browse through all tab pages and see how the ribbon settings are changing. Attempt to turn various display utilities on and off.

Go back to the main display to see your publishing information. Exit Publisher without storing the publishing.
