Where can I find the Publisher of a Book

How do I find the publisher of a book?

Publishing houses - APA Style Guide The publisher is the "person, company or corporation that makes a work accessible to the public" (NISO). Publishing house information is usually on the cover page or on the back of the cover page of a book. Include the name as it will appear in the paper. Leave out the words Publishers, Co. and Inc.

in the publisher's name.

When more than one publisher is specified, use the first one or the one representing the home offices, if specified. Start with the publisher information by city, start with a colon. 2. Single titles and titles on the web - Quotation Medizin

A general language for a link to an whole web book, incl. punctuation: Monographs, generally referred to as a book, are works that are completed in one or a limited number of editions. The term on-line book is often used to describe large print editions such as schoolbooks, handbooks or engineering papers, but can also include smaller works such as brochures, one-page fact sheets or short essays.

More and more people are writing direct for the web to allow hyperlinks, embed sophisticated graphic and multi-media like soundtrack. A web book can be statically stable, i.e. it can be timed and unaltered since it was published, or it can be refreshed or otherwise reworked over the years. A number of manufacturers of online textbook allow or welcome reader commentaries or experts' opinions and add them to the text.

Even though online manuals differ dramatically in their actual shape from the standard printed manual, the principles for their citation do not differ significantly from what is necessary for printing. There' s still an writer or organisation responsible for the article, a headline, a place of "publication", a publisher, a date of publishing and the size of the article (i.e. the number of pages or the equivalent).

Everyone who quotes an online paper should try to find all these items. Web pages are disappearing with great incidence, and readers of a quotation must receive other identification information if they want to find them. However, some items are harder to find when quoting cyberbooks.

Some badly built pages, for example, contain no data and authoring or publication responsibilities may be uncertain or non-existent. Don't mistake the publisher for the organisation that runs the website for the publisher. When a phrase such as "this site is hosted by XYZ Corporation for ABC Organization" is used, ABC Organisation is the publisher and XYZ Corporation is the distribution partner.

A quotation requires publisher's details; on request, publisher's details can also be attached as a reference. Certain features need an extension for an online quote to give the users useful information. As an example, the date of publishing is necessary in each quote, but many websites are repeatedly refreshed or otherwise changed after the date of publishing.

Therefore, the latest date of the update/revision should be indicated together with the date mentioned, i.e. the date on which the quoting party saw the article on the web. It is necessary in the highly charged web space, where changes are easy to make and an article seen one date may not be the same when looked at the next one.

A book on the web is quoted in the same way as a printed book, with these exceptions: after the name. Specify any update/revision date and a quotation date in parentheses after the date of pub. Do not use the data of the respective book, not the data of the entire website, unless no data can be found for the particular article.

If the size (pagination) of the book is not specified, as often happens, you should use the best possible means, e.g. in the form of printed pages, monitors, sections or byte. When a book is non-linear and has many links, it is not possible to define the length. When you have seen a book on the web, do not quote it as if it were a printed book.

It can, however, be useful to start a quotation for a book found on the web by first finding all the information needed to quote it like a printed paper and then adding the Internet-specific elements. When a book has no official cover page on the web, look at the opening screen, bottom or bottom screen, side bar link, and sourcecode ( "visible" through your web browser) to find citations.

Whereas all of a monograph has certain items in common for the purpose of quotation, such as name, titles, publisher's information and date, certain kinds of monograph have certain extra items.
