Prerequisites for the course

The programme is aimed at prospective French and German novels of writing and writing and creative non-fiction. This includes (1) an understanding of the poetic, fictional and creative arts and crafts, (2) an understanding of the different types of writing and technologies used by the author within each gender, (3) the capacity to analyse writing in its own philosophic and educational contexts, (4) the capacity to criticise students' scripts and provide constructively based input in a work-shop.


Among the members of the department are award-winning writers, which is beneficial to a broad spectrum of college and college undergraduates who are interested in the development of their own creative writing aptitudes. Creative Writing Certificate offers professional teaching, a supporting environment and a well-structured programme. This graduate certificate meets the requirements for both (internal) and (external) undergraduates.

The program offers postgraduate and postgraduate scholars the chance to improve their writing and writing abilities, expand the range of their studies and improve their employability. It also provides an excellent study setting for those who do not want a Master's in English but want to gain the necessary creative writing aptitudes.

Certificatecourse credentials of up to 12 hrs can be credited towards a graduation with department authorisation. If English is not your mother tongue, you must register for a TOEFL scoring.

Who we are

Every year we record between six and nine creative non-fiction, literature and literature undergraduates. In addition, our MFA alumni are entitled to a 100 per cent exemption from study fees, a position as an assistant lecturer and the possibility of enrolling in a group medical insuranc. It is our aim to help all our pupils to reach their full writing potentials. Writing studios and handicraft classes all take place in a pleasant environment.

They can focus exclusively on their respective genres or attend non-gene workshop. Belletristicians, for example, can take creative non-fiction classes, and poetics undergraduates can write their own work. Encouraging our pupils to cross borders. The composition course in the first year will prepare our graduates to confidently step into the schoolroom.

We' re also one of the few programmes in the Netherlands that provides creative writing education. Department of English provides internship meetings to lead the student through every stage of the application meeting. The student receives support in the creation of efficient curricula vitae and covering letter as well as in the writing of conclusions about the educational policy.

They have published in top magazines - Sun, Quarterly West and Epoch, to name but a few - and have won renowned domestic awards such as the O. Henry Award and the AWP Intro Award. Among our graduates are Karen Brown, writer of Pins and Needles (winner of the AWP Grace Paley Award in Fiction) and Little Sinners and Other Stories (Prairie Schooner Book Prize in Fiction); Ric Jahna, writer of True Kin (Ohio State University Prize in Short Fiction); writer and interpreter Daniele Pantano, writer of The Oldest Hands in the World and interpreter of The Possible Is Monstrous:

Poems by Friedrich Dürrenmatt and The Collected Works of Georg Trakl (all Black Lawrence Press); Alicia Thompson, writer of The Psych Major Syndrome (Hyperion); John Nieves (Indiana Review Prize in Poetry, in renowned magazines such as Minnesota Review and Harpur Palate); and Adriana Paramo, writer of My Mother's Funeral (CavanKerry Press) and Looking for Esperanza (Benu Press).

Saw Palm, our on-line magazine, gives graduates the opportunity to gather useful editing work. By participating in Blank Pages, the student can gather managerial expertise and improve their own presentations skills: The Creative Writing Symposium, NPCF, Writers Harvest fundraisers et die 6X6 Student Reading Series. Department of English provides humble support for those who have been chosen to present at international meetings such as the AWP.

The Pennsylvania State University, Fiction (MFA) is the Italian writer of the Mother Rocket and Sometimes I dream collection of shorts and the books brought back my bodysuit to me, pink panties, blue italian and remaind me again why I mary you. Among her accolades are the Flannery O'Connor Award for Shortfiction and the Pirate's Alley Faulkner Prize for the Novel.

Her work has been supported by the Ragdale Foundation, the Hawthornden International Retreat for Writers, the American Academy in Rome, the Santa Fe Arts Institute, the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation, the Sozopol Fiction Seminars and the State Arts Council of Pennsylvania, Virginia and Florida. He is the writer of The Legend of the Barefoot Mailman, a novel, and Fearsome Creatures of Florida, a literature bestier.

He has published in McSweeney's, North American Review, Mississippi Review, Fourteen Hills and Carve. He has collected his work in 100% Pure Florida Fiction and The Future Dictionary of America. Mr. Lafayette holds a Ph. D. in Creative Writing from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Mississippi and a BA in M. Sc. in Science of M. from the University of Virginia.

Mr. Hunt Hawkins (PhD, Stanford University) holds a B.A. from Williams College, where he was Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Stanford University. He was previously Chairman of the English Department at Florida State University, where he was a James M. McCrimmon Professor. He specialises in Modern British Literature, Postcolonial Literature and Lyric.

Lectures on Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness" and "The Secret Sharer" with the Modern Language Association and The Domestic Life (Poems) with the University of Pittsburgh Press. This one won the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize. He is the writer of Green Squall, who was selected by Louise Glück as the 2005 Yale Series of Younger Poets Award recipient, and is a member of the team.

He was awarded a Rome Fellowship in Literature from the Americas Academy of Arts and Letters/the Americas Academy in Rome in 2010. Roselló Jarod (MFA and Doctor ate, The Pennsylvania State University, Fiction/Comics/Graphic Narrative/Digital Storytelling) is a Cuban-American instructor, comedian and author, born in Miami, Florida.

He is a comic and fictional artist and has been featured in Cause & Effect Magazine, Gulfstream Literary Magazine, Sonora Review, Neon Literary Journal, Fast Forward Flash Film, Vol. 3, Sorry Entertainer and Gin Palace. This is Not Where You Belong, his book of literature, was released by Aestel and Acanthus in 2012.

He is also the writer of three books of poetry: New poetries appear in Prairie Schooner, The North American Review, Field, The Bellingham Review and The Sun. During 2001, Seller's Georgia Under Water (Sarabande) released a compilation of Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers Awards winning comebacks.

She has authored a children's guide, Spike and Cubby's Ice Cream Island Adventure (Henry Holt), two handicraft guides, page by page and chapters by chapters (Writer's Digest), and a course manual for the multi-genre Creative Writing Classroom, The Praxis of Creative Writing (Bedford St. Martin's), new in its second series.

Iraq Sukrungruang (MFA, The Ohio State University) is a Chicago-born Thai-American and writer of Memoiren Talk Thai: This is the first fat fiction anthology and Scoot Over, Skinny: The Fat Nonfiction Anthology. He has written numerous articles in literature magazines and manuscripts, such as Creative Nonfiction, The Bellingham Review, North American Review, Isotope, Crab Orchard Review, Post Road and Tilting the Continent:

South East Asia America Writing. Among our teachers are the belletrist Karen Brown, the dramatist Mark Leib and the author Katherine Riegel. MFA in Creative Writing is a postgraduate programme focusing on literature, creative non-fiction and literature. This programme emphasises the art of writing and focuses on the student's work. MFA takes 45hrs of course work and usually lasts three years.

It is our aim to support MFA exchange holders in the preparation of dissertations that can be published and the securing of lecturing and editorial posts after completion of their studies. In order to obtain a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, the following prerequisites must be met: Make 45 credit lessons with an overall score of 3. 0 or better in the desired classes.

eighteen lessons in writing and handicraft courses, three intro to graduate study lessons, 15 lessons in literary and pedagogical subjects and nine lessons in diploma theses (in the last year of the programme). Completion of a book-length script in either novels, creative non-fiction or poems that meets the Ph.

This dissertation contains 48-64 pages of poetry or at least 100 pages of literature or creative non-fiction. There are 6 classes (18 hours) selected from the following: CRP 6025 Special Topics in Creative Writing (3) This new course can focus on script writing, translating, proofreading, creative writing education (with a collaborative component) or studying a particular style or technology.

One course (3 hours) in the main course: There are 5 classes (15 hours) in any of the combinations below: 6025 Creative Writing Practical Experience (3) - required by all teachers in creative writing classes. Literary classes at alumni levels (6000 and more) provided by the English department. They are AML 6---, ENL 6--- and LIT 6--- encoded.

Example training including:: There are 3 diploma theses ((9 hours): Master (3-6 lessons per semester). Enrolment must be at least 3 hrs according to ENG 6971 during the term before completion of studies.
