About Being the main character of your own life
It' not unusual to think that you are the leading figure in your own life. In fact, it seems quite common for humans to pretend to be the protagonists in all of mankind destined to be the coronation of the process of evolution and the pinnacle of God's unfathomable purpose. If you see a film that has a certain performer in every individual sequence, and if this performer makes the narrative voice even in silent situations and even often when other actors speak, then it is obvious that the performer plays the part.
You also appear in your own life in every individual sequence, the overtone is in your own vocal, and the film doesn't end when other lives are lost, but only when you do. Troubles arise between humans (and within, but that's another story) when their stories meet, like the pair that had a completely friendly separation until they raised the issue whose guilt it was.
Or, you think your romantic is a story about domesticating the perils of your partner's ferocious oat; your partner's story is about you turning him or her into a zoomia. The story of your story is about the up-and-coming leader; the story of your squad is about the whipper trying to make them look evil.
The main type of storytelling has to do with the issue of whose story it is. A lot of folks (i.e. those with personal disorders) may say that they realize that other folks have their own life, but they almost always behave as if other folks were subordinates of their own protagonists.
If you have two persons with personal disabilities in the same room, it's unpleasant to see them competing for the theater. Treating others as if they play a small role is why a therapist's consultation is not enough to alter a personal disturbance; without inter-subjective sensitivity, it recapsitulates the patient's feeling that he or she is the only one who counts.
However much we like to be the protagonists of our tales, we respond with rage when we are subordinate to a supporting part. We are of course able to play a small part in a certain sequence happily, but we are afraid of the news that our whole life is a small one.
Everyone is tempted to get tempted with you when they realise you think this is your sequence and not theirs, or when they get a submission of the fact that your order of business does not intertwine with theirs. It is seldom the turn of those with personal disabilities; they also risk ending the connection if they feel that they have their own agendas.
The realization that everyone is the protagonist of their own story can create a feeling of company, by which I mean dedication to the qualities of experiencing and not to their own part. A lot of folks come close to every reality like an actress who is reading a screenplay just to measure the number of rows he has and how long they are.
Teachers who realize that each pupil is on his own way allow the undisturbed pupils to act as a secondary figure in the class room without having to pretend to be insignificant all their lives. It' not possible to say who the protagonist is in an egalitarian company like the Friends show.
The structure of the room mirrors an excellent dining event or an excellent class room where students talk to enhance the conversations, not to show off. There may be one or the other person's own sequence in other companies, but there is a feeling of the liquid whose one is. If older folks roar in obvious disrespect of their audience, it may have something to do with the fact that they have survived many or all of the folks with whom they share them.
In this respect, as with other biological nuisances, we offer courtesy to the older people, which would only be possible if it were expanded to include personal privacy.
