Writing narrative techniques: Definition, Types & Examples - Video & Lesson Transcript
We will explore different kinds of storytelling skills in written form and give an example of the literature skills that are related to styles, actions and outlook. Stories are works that give an overview of related occurrences. In a nutshell, a story is a story. Storytelling gives the readers a deep sense and helps them to visualise the situation.
Annarrative literature is also known as a literature tool. It is important to realize that before we become too much concerned with storytelling technique, it is important to realize that in stories literature there are things like the settings, the story, the plot, the subject, the styles or the structures, the figures and the perspectives or the voices of the story, because it is best to interpret them in the contexts of one of these items.
While there are many literature styles, for this lecture we will explore literature that is pertinent to your own styles, storytelling and storytelling perspectives or points of views. Frequent technologies of relevance to the story's stylistic or linguistic context are metaphor, parables, personalization, images, hyperbola and iteration. General technologies of relevance to the story, i.e. the order of occurrences that make up a story, are back story, flashbback, flash-forward and forwarding.
