The read of Tom Palmer's short novel "The Character Strikes Back" in my classes was just as appealing for me as a schoolteacher as it was for my young audience, who really learnt the importance of a "cliff hanger".
Their despair to find out what was next brought with it many debates and wonderful outlooks. They even phoned the local schools to find out where they could buy the books their kids couldn't stop to talk about!

An amusing tale about George - not popular at elementary schools - who gets an old after shave from a family member for his birthdays. An awarding tale of Luke going to the bathroom just to find his little boyfriend has been turned into a super hero by a nomad.
This is a very fun page break, perfect for fourth grade students. This is a comic about the most astonishing tree house of all time. Secrets scientific laboratories, disaster control centers and a smart ambush are just some of the things you'll find inside. This is great for hesitant reader, many eight-year-olds and nine-year-olds will be reading this in one session.
An amusing and smart tale about Frank Einstein, who loves to take things apart and put them back together in a new and interesting way. Bean' s father is called'Gadgetman' because of the astonishing amount of spy kits he makes up - everything from explosive cookies to spy kits. This is a great group read for the fourth grade.
