Self Publish my novel

Self-publication of my novel

In this article, the advantages and disadvantages of traditional vs. self-publishing are discussed. When I published my first book, I remember wondering: As one writes and publishes his first novel (paperback). It' difficult to write and publish your first novel. A lot of authors who publish a book themselves try to do all this work themselves, even if they have no training.

Useful hints from Karen Inglis

Born in London, UK, I am a self-published children's writer with well over 15,000 copies sold in my books and over 550 books-sold. The Secret Lake, my first children's novel, a journey through history for 8-11 year-olds, was released in September 2011 and has been a bestselling publication by Amazon UK since June 2018.

One year after The Secret Lake came Eeek! This is a fast-moving black-and-white novel about a football-mad spacecraft fleeing to Earth during the World Cup. Eeek! was recognized early on by charitable organizations, educators, library owners and critics as great for young people and hesitant followers and was used in the Get London Reading Campaign.

All the information I make available is consciously at a high standard and concentrates on the decisions I have made and why. I' also make available related hyperlinks to every stage on the way. I will publish How to Self-publish and Market a Children's Book in July 2018 - if you want to be informed when it will be published, please subscribe to my random mailinglist here.

Whilst the information you find on my website is still accurate, the guide will contain much more details and up-to-date information about new features and advertising options that are not discussed here. It' also includes a download section with links to useful files and all the latest news I think you'd like to know how to proceed.

More about the new textbook can be found in my diary here. I' m not trying to copy the many awesome self-publishing sites and weblogs that go into large quantities of details, but I do offer hyperlinks to the ones I've used most.

I don't blogs on a regular basis - I rather sometimes update and contribute when something changes or appears that I think deserves your interest - so if you want to get an emails, if I want to write occasional postings, please subscribe to my mailinglist (I won't be emailing often and you can always unsubscribe!).
