New York Times Book Review

Every time I bought a copy of the New York Times Book Review to keep up with the new series. I was grateful to renew my contacts with the emergence of the web, but I failed to sit down in a confortable seat and get to know many of the new literature and non-fiction book.

There is a very good choice of textbooks to review and the editorial staff do a good job of assembling experts to express their views. In the case of literature works, the critic has usually been reading the author's earlier works, and in the case of non-fiction works, the critic is usually an authority on the subject being published, sometimes writing a similar work.

Sometimes I go back and read a review of a book that I have completed to refine the additional perspectives that have given me about the book. Usually I first go to the NYT Book Review website to see which titles are coverage. Sometimes this week's edition is dedicated to something like children's literature with no appeals to me, so I'll jump over it, but there's usually enough interest to justify the low cost of the Kindle one.

Again I can make myself at home while getting to know the new book of the month and maybe find one that I missed for want of information.
