Congratulation to the winners of the Claudia Emerson Teen Poetry Contest 2018! Congratulation to the winners of the Claudia Emerson Teen Poetry Contest 2016! Thanks to our Contest Judge Amanda Rutstein, Associate English Trainer and Writing Center Writing Director at the University of Mary Washington.

The winners will be honored with awards and encouraged to review their work at the Teen Poetry Night at the Headquarters Library on Wednesday, May 27, 7:30-8:30. Congratulation to the winners of the Teen Poetry Contest 2015! Congratulation to the winners of the eleventh Annual Teen Poetry Contest! Every year in April we are celebrating the National Poetry Month with our Teen Poetry Contest.

Young people in classes 7-12 from Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania and Westmoreland are welcome to enter up to three of their own poetry. The winners this year were randomly picked by Amanda Rutstein, poetry teacher at the University of Mary Washington and director of the Fredericksburg Writing Center. Submissions were received on-line from 1 to 14 April and the winners were picked from pupils in classes 7-9 and 10-12.

The winners will receive awards and are welcome to view their work at the Teen Poetry Night at the Headquarters Library, Monday, May 19, 7:30-8:30 am. The winners are..... Congratulation to the winners of the 10-yearly Teeny Poetry Contest! Every year in April we are celebrating the National Poetry Month with our Teen Poetry Contest. Young people in classes 7-12 from Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania and Westmoreland are welcome to enter up to three of their own poetry.

Claudia Emerson, prizewinner of the Pulitzer Prize in Poetry 2006, chose this year's winners (anonymously). From April 1 to 14, 2013 the submissions were received and the winners from classes 7-9 and 10-12 were picked. The winners will receive awards and are welcome to view their work at the Teen Poetry Night at the Headquarters Library, Wednesday, May 1, 7:30-8:30 am.

The winners are..... Congratulation to the winners of the 8th Annual Teen Poetry Contest! Every year in April we are celebrating the National Poetry Month with our Teen Poetry Contest. Young people in classes 7-12 from Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania and Westmoreland are welcome to enter up to three original poetry. Allison Seay, Arrington Poet-in-Residence at the University of Mary Washington, (anonymously) selected this year's winners.

From April 1 to 14, 2012 the contributions were received on-line and the winners were chosen from the classes 7-9 and 10-12. The winners will be honored with awards and given a reading at the Teen Poetry Night at the Headquarters Library: Monday, April 30, 2012, 7:30-8:30 a.m. The winners are here.....
