Novel Review Format

New review format

An innovative open peer review format for an emergency medicine blog. In this format, please state your contribution: <last name, first name, date>. House of Leaves' format and structure is unconventional, with unusual page layouts and style, making it a prime example of ergodic literature.

Testimonials from customers

You mean the review of this one? They are mostly true, and I concur with most of them, but that doesn't alter my high rating of the snob readings' experiences, which I really regretted when I saw the end. Which *not* is a particularly true criticism: "I like Downton Abbey and that's nothing like Downton Abbey, so I hates that."

He is Downton Abbey's *creator* and has also authored several works. Apart from the fact that this takes place in England and concentrates very much on the entrances and exits of the nobility and on differences in classes, no, this is not Downton Abbey. {\*That is like loving Stephen King's Pet Sematary, but Stephen King used to write The State. But because The State isn't Pet Sematary, I really hated The State.

Particularly when there are so many other things *are* like Downton Abbey, although they vary wild on the spectrum of "as good as". I' m an acknowledged Anglophile, and that probably has a lot to do with my pleasure in this work, which I think would please anyone interested in British people.

However, another big part of my joy in the work has to do with my esteem for my letters - in some places the joke is so hot that it immediately gives your eye a trim. Eventually I ceased to mark all the places in the script where I valued this (although I recall one of my favourite analogs.... comparing an actor's hairstyle to something "taken off a corpse hovering in the Thames").
