Writing a Non-Fiction Proposal
When you are looking for a non-fiction book for your own publications, you will most likely need to suggest a non-fiction book. Creating a proposal for a non-fiction book is a kind of cook's lasagne. If you like, the formula below is valid for almost all kinds of non-fiction books, from story to self-help to non-fiction.

When you get pinned, look at the copy of your book jackets for similar to yours and see how the book frames are. A summary is not exactly like a cover copy (remember that you are suggesting an agent/editor and not a reader), but it is a good place to start to determine the size of your book.
Have you the credence to author this book? If not, you can wager that these guys are also writers. Have you got an audiences to fall back on to advertise the book and a schedule to activate it? While you are creating your biography, make sure you blur celebrity if you have them (or if they have already agreed) and anything that might give a feel for your capacity to commercialize the book.
Notice that you don't necessarily need to go back to earlier publications, but they can certainly help to give your writers and writers a feel for your typing skills and your capacity to inspire them.
