My-story ("Kamala The Book")

The My Story is an autobiographic work by the writer and writer Kamala Das (also known as Kamala Surayya or Madhavikutty). Initially released in Malayalam under the title Ente Katha. It aroused strong responses of amazement and critique from the reader and reviewers. Aami' s ("Kamala") 50 chapter publication follows her fourth year of live through UK colleges of colonisation and mission in Calcutta, where she was subjected to racial harassment; through her cruel and forgiving attitude towards her husbands; through her sexually awakened; her literature careers; extra-marital matters; the childbirth of her kids; and lastly, a gradual but constant confrontation with her marriage, the arts and sex work.

This is what My Story wrote in English a few years ago before it was render in Malayalam. When she wrote the memoirs in English, S. K. Nair proposed to her to have them translated for his newpaper. It was first released as a Current Buch in February 1973.

Released by DC Books in August 1982. In 1977 Sterling Publishers released the British language edition, with many changes to the 1970 script. Since 2009 the volume is available at Harper Collins India. An Hindi excerpt entitled Meri Kahaani is released by Hind Pocket Books.

The story is one of the most famous and disputed biographies of an Hindi writer.

My Story of Eleanor Roosevelt

That was a tough one. Costing about $100 to buy it, and I went to 3 libs before I was able to get a copy. It' Eleanor Roosevelt's biography, written at the tender of forty. That was a tough one. Costing about $100 to buy it, and I went to 3 libs before I was able to get a copy.

It' Eleanor Roosevelt's biography, written at the tender of forty. Allow a lot of room for manoeuvre when studying this volume. There were, however, some parts of incidental racialism that were worthy and unpleasant to open. His or her work ends at the beginning of the most important period of their lives!

Now, I have to study a bio to learn the whole story........
