One of the most disputed and beloved biographies of an Hindi novelist. The Kamala Das has presented her story in the shape of a novel that is consistently open and sincere. Biography is named Duck Katha in Malayalam. The Kamala Das (also known as Madhavikutty and Kamala Surayya) always spoke about her experience as a women, writers, wives, mothers and everything else she was, through her writing.
Duck Katha was serialised in 1972 during Malayalam Week, Malayalanadu, which has since passed away. She has openly talked about her marital experience, her kids, extra-marital matters, her career as a renowned and disputed author. Kámala Das was borne in 1934 in the Malabar District, British India. she' been the journalist for Illustrated Weekly of India.
Wrote several hundred verses and tales in Malayalam and English. She has been widely known in India, where she has dealt with a broad range of topics such as childcare, women's affairs and policy. It was also the valued VC of the Kerala Sahitya Academy and the President of the Kerala Children's Film Society.
The Kamala Das was shortlisted for the 1984 Nobel Prize in Literature. During her travels to various places to write poems, among them the Adelaide Writer's Festival, the South Bank Festival, London and the University of Bonn. This was awarded the renowned Sahitya Akademi Award and the PEN Polish Prize. She was controversial again in 1999 when she went to Islam and renamed Kamala Das to Kamala Surayya.
