It can be a good way to learn new words, see your English and German as a foreign tongue. Selecting the right textbook is the keys to your business strategy. If you are a beginner, I would suggest you begin with something new. Childrens literature is a good place to begin.

To start with something like this means that you want to end the story and start reading more.

It' not too long and once you've seen the movie, it might be simpler to watch. When you like to talk about historic happenings, Anne Holm's I am David is a brief tale of a young man trying to find his mom during the Second World War. Getting from Louis Zakhar is also a great piece of work.

So if you are not quite willing to study an entire volume, why not try Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes? Many of the books are fairytale related and are all in rhymes. Or try a very brief one - like one from Roger Hargreaves' Mr Men and Little Miss Serie.

Though they are designed for small kids, they are a good way to learn a little more elementary English. I have no more suggestions than to give you something that interests you. Have a look at the flap text (the brief abstract of the back cover) and see if it looks like something you would like.

In this way, you will rather have fun than consider it a burdensome duty.
