Investigate the implicit and explicite ideals and sentiments in the text. Finally, keep in mind that although it is a bloody answer, your goal is NOT to tell a beautiful tale, but to research the authors own thoughts, beliefs and message! You will always have different ways of interpreting these figures, and you can reflect your comprehension of the text through your representation of certain signs or through the occurrences in your answer.
