UK Monographs, encyclopaedias, textbooks and practitioners' titles:

We' re interested in all kinds of book publications, but we' re particularly interested in academic monographies, students' text and practical work. Although we release edits, it is now our practice to greatly reduce the number of such compilations that are released each year due to the difficulty of selling such works.2 We will not consider a script or suggestion that is filed at the same date with other editors; if you submit to more than one editor, this must be announced at the date of filing.

Exceptionally, we may consent to consider a suggestion that is also filed with another publishing house and will determine at the moment of filing whether or not we wish to initiate our own assessment or not. Under these conditions, we will only begin the peer reviewed work if the writer agrees to approve our publishing offering without undue delay.3 We commit ourselves to completing our peer reviewed work in a timely manner and not to keep writers unnecessarily waiting.4 We are often asked if we object to parts or the entire volume being posted on SSRN, on the author's own website, in a college library, or in scientific periodicals (print and digital).

While we recognize the appeal and pressures of'pre-publishing' in this way, the response is very dissuasive in reality for various reason when a script has been fully or partially pre-published on the web or in a magazine. Therefore, we generally refuse to release materials that have been "pre-published" elsewhere and demand that the author discloses from the beginning whether any part of his work has been or will be "pre-published" elsewhere.5.

While we do not allow the publication of PDF files of published sections from our publications on Open Access pages or in personal or university repositories, we do allow the publication of the same. MANUSCRIPTS If your script is already composed, we usually need the following: 1. the script, stored as a Word, Word Perfect, Ruff- or PDF-document, as an e-mail-address.

In-depth research of the text that analyses the relation between the work and other similar or potentially competing works that have either been or are still being published.4 A suggested paper with an abstracts for the work, the time schedule for the completion of the screenplay and the approximate number of definitive words.5 In the case of a dissertation, we also need a copy of your examiner's work.

In the case of dissertations, we do not release any unaudited dissertations and for verification reasons we require information on how the materials will be reviewed, either in the format of a detailled rework schedule or a newly written section to illustrate the reviews. Notice: Some colleges do not allow any or only minimum reviews in the dissertation that has been released.

Usually if the script has not yet been completed and you are looking for a treaty to complete it, we need the following:1. Short descriptions of the text (150-300 words)3. This is a discerning bibliographical survey that analyses the relation between the textbook you want to publish and other similar or potentially competing textbooks that are either republished or rewritten in the course of writing4.

The time frame for the completion of the volume and the approximate number of last words. What happens to your suggested work? At first, all suggested books and scripts are reviewed internally. The first evaluation will focus on the economics of your suggested work, its consistency with our checklist, its qualitiy and the available time.

That part of the procedure can take from 1 days to 2 week, subject to a wide range of conditions, but we will let you know as soon as possible and usually within 2 week if we want to move the suggestion to the next phase or not. Considering that we get between 800 and 1000 suggestions a year, of which only 80-90 are acceptable, 90% of potential writers will be dissapointed.

If we reject a suggestion, we will unfortunately not receive any further communication on the suggestion. The peer reviewing manuscripts and proposed books are evaluated in an anonymous manner by a committee of independently appointed peer-reviewing professionals who are seasoned and recognized professionals. That part of the work can be timeconsuming because we have no supervision over our evaluators and need to give them enough perseverance to finish their work, while at the same token recognizing that they usually juggle other roles and work obligations.

As a rule, we try to finish this part of the procedure in 3 month, but sometimes the procedure can take much longer. After the evaluation we usually mail you the report prepared by our experts and ask you for an answer. Proposals to revise, reorganise, abbreviate or enlarge your paper may be included in the report and you are encouraged to take these proposals seriously.

We' ll take into account the experts' report and your answer and then we' ll make a decision whether or not to give a favourable one. Meetings of our editorial board are held regularly throughout the year. It' s customary, but not unavoidable, for our editorial board to take our compliment.

In its sitting, our parliamentary commission will consider the expert's report and consider the suggestion from the point of views of the markets, the suggested prices, the titles, the format, the length and so on. Should the Subcommittee agree to the manuscript/offer being approved, we will inform you of this and submit a contract quotation in writing to you within one weeks of the Subcommittee session.

If the suggestion is declined after reviewing your paper, the paper will be kept and annihilated after another period, unless you demand its restitution in writ. PublicationsIf we continue with your offer or copy, the publisher agreement specifies the date of publication, the number of words and the distribution of tasks between them.

All manuscripts are required to be submitted in electronic format - either as e-mail attachments, on CD or on CD or via standard serial port - and except in very uncommon cases we will only work with them. After receiving the definitive script, we usually carry out a brief audit, which can be carried out either in-house or by an outside expert.

When we are satisfied with the script, we go to work. Usually the process lasts 5-6 month, according to the length, complexities and up-to-dateness of your text. When there is a specific date by which your work must be released to take full benefit of a significant commercial launch, we will make every reasonable attempt to have it out by that date.

You will be asked to consult with an expert, legal expert and, if necessary, to ask questions. We will consult you about the layout and look of your textbook and ask you to help us market it by proposing magazines that would like to check it, educators who would like to use it for teaching, and conferences/societies whose delegates/members might be interested in the detail of the work.

These include the creation of catalogs and articles for this website, the creation of print promotional material, the search for press review, the presentation of literature at meetings and the promotion in major legal journals.
