ENTRY INTO FICTION COURSES
First Steps: Beginners' Fantasy is an introduction course for those who are interested in literature and want to expand their abilities and know-how, or who have experienced other ways of composing and want to try something new. Helen Shipman introduces you to the skill and technique that will help you turn your idea into a story.
You' ll get to know the elements of destiny, how to make compelling personalities and realist attitudes and which point of views to use when narrating a game. Each week's session introduces you gradually to the skill you need to write literature, while you work in a supporting fellowship of authors who want to exchange their work.
We begin with how authors work and how you can evolve your own creativeness and disciplines. All stories need a storyteller, so let's look at different points of view to see who is talking the game. You' ll learnt the meaning of fictional character, where they come from and how to make them credible.
You' re gonna think about where your history is taking place and why that's important. You' ll discover how fictional space works and discover how to change the tempo of your history. You will see how you can combine the different parts of your history. You have two -week to write a concluding novel or brief with up to 3,000 words that you can make available to the group for comment.
You can study in the Faber Academy on-line class room, which is open around the clock, so that you can harmonise your studies with your work, your families and your boyfriends. You will work in a small group of classmates to debate your thoughts, ask your own question and divide your letter as you go through the class. You' re gonna need it:
The course can be accessed from a desktop or smart phone, but we suggest using a notebook or computer as it will make it easy to split your workloads with your work group. You can join the Faber Academy after the course, where you will get to know the expanding international student body of the Faber Academy.
They are a welcoming group of authors who help each other research and evolve their work. For a surcharge, your course instructor can provide you with a personal, in-depth account of your thesis. You' ll get a comprehensive set of comments in which you can evaluate your idea and letter, as well as tips on what to do next.
