The omnipresence of e-mail and society has made writing correspondence a kind of moribund form of writing..... There is no replacement for a real, well-formulated letter for any kind of correspondence, governmental inquiries and a multitude of other use. No matter whether you use a text processing machine or pens and papers, the labels and regulations that prescribe how to start a serious letter right are sometimes more difficult than writing the letter itself!
Refer to Stage 1 below to learn how to start a letter. Enter your sender adress ( and optional your name) in the upper lefthand area. First thing you should do is type your name ( (or address) in the upper lefthand area. Enter the adress in two-line default format, i.e. enter your road adress at the top lefthand side and your town, state and zip/postcode in the line below.
When you decide to enter your name that is not needed, enter it at the top of the screen on the top right and not your second and third number. Please enter the date under your personal data. Next, enter the date. Ignore a line below your page and then type the date so that it is similar to the one on the lefthand side of the page.
Enter the "internal address" under the date. Lastly, you must provide the name and adress of the individual you are trying to reach. It is referred to as the "inside address" because it is the same information as on the outside of the cover, only inside the cover. You can skip a line below the date and type it on the lefthand side of the page.
When you know the name of the individual you are communicating with, list them. When you know them both, type the name first, then the track in the next line. Next, if you are writing to this individual at his or her workplace, type the name of the place. At the end, enter the addressee's e-mail adress in the following rows.
If you want to send us a letter in passing, just enter the date alone. Use the above statements to type a letter in a form or commercial setting. When writing a letter to a colleague, you may want to leave out the pretext of a headline. Then it is enough to just type the date in the upper lefthand area.
You can then continue with the title and the text of the letter itself. Skipping a line after the head to correctly place the title is the welcome that begins a letter - "Dear colleague", "My real love", and so on. Whatever form of address you select, make sure that you place it on the lefthand side of the page and leaving a space line on both sides of the page (in other words, space between it, the headline and the letter body).
Sometimes in the USA, in certain commercial situations, a commas character replaces the commas in a title. We could, for example, begin our letter to Jane Doe with the plain "Dear Mrs. Doe". Sometimes it is not possible to know exactly who will receive your letter, e.g. if you are writing to a division of a large university.
When you don't know if you write to a man or wife but know the name of your receiver, you can use it instead (like "Dear Professor", "Dear Senator", etc.). If you are writing a letter to a company or an institute and not to a particular individual within the company or institute, you should use "to whom it can address" instead of a conventional form of address.
Whereas in most official and semi-formal settings you generally want to keep to "love" addresses, if you write to a dear boyfriend, a significant other or a member of the household, you can usually get away with informally addressing people. Suppose I have to send a letter to a person in a textbook? When you know the fictitious adress of the characters, even only the town, you can insert it into the headers. Then start with "Dear (the name of the character)" and continue from there. What is the starting point for a letter to a headmaster or welfare workers?
Then, enter your problem/reason for writing. When there is no adress, what to do? Enter your e-mail to receive a reply when this is the case. When you have written the letter, you can write it over the crayon.
