Create and publish your own eBooks: How and why to do it.
Create and publish your own eBooks: A number of them are available free of cost. I' m speaking of electronicals ("ebooks"), of course. Nowadays, newsletter and ezine are not the only things that can be published without a name. Now everyone can publish their own book.
What makes you think you should publish your own book? In addition to the desire to immortalise your name, here are a few good reason why you would like to publish your own eBook. What makes you think that so many give away online textbooks? Available elBooks, like other free things, are spreading rapidly.
It will be an easiest way for you to publish your website or your company. For that to occur, of course, your ebook must be more than just an advertisement booklet - it really must have something that' s really valuable to be able to read, in order for folks to annoy, and forward it. More and more often, ebooks are offered for purchase on the Internet.
Stephen King has even taken over the electronical publication. It is becoming an accepted media in the era of electronical communications. One of the great things about releasing your book online is that your cost is extremely low (compared to hardcopy publishing). All you need to get is the necessary tools to build the e-book, and today you can even get it for free.
Selling or distributing 1000 or one copy of your e-book will keep your costs for the production of the e-book at the same overhead. Indeed, once you have purchased your softwares, you can create any number of ebooks at no extra charge.
A further benefit is that you do not have to try to find a company that accepts your work. Be your own editor and distribution partner. Just as with the publication of a newsletter, you should of course also post here about things that arefamous to you. Of course, if you intend to publish your website or company, your subject should be related to what you are sponsoring.
This way they will come to see you as an authority on the subject and go to your website for more information and help. Download the application to make an e-book (see below). Type your e-book. You can use the application to transform your documents into e-book form.
Share your e-book on your website. Notice that even if you want to be selling your e-book, you should still have a taste of your e-book that is available free to stimulate the appetite of your future buyers. Publish your e-book. Today, the most popular self-publishing e-book file is Portable Document or PDF.
As a matter of fact, it is so widespread that although there are no formal ebook conventions, it is practically the de facto norm on the web. PDF files have the benefit that they can be viewed on any platform: there are free PDF viewer for Windows, Macintosh, Linux, Unix (various), hand-held computer, etc.
PDF file cross-platform means not only that people of all types of computers can view your book, but also that they can view your book on their handhelds (e.g. PDA, tablet, smartphone) while traveling, giving you an extra sales argument for your book. E-books in this size work almost like a book - they are mobile.
A further benefit of this PDF is its familiar nature. Anyone who sees that the book is a PDF will not (!) be afraid to download and read it. Many free PDF conversion s and editing software is available. Furthermore, the most advanced text processing programs, such as Microsoft World, also have the option of saving a PDF-document.
Notice: If after creating your PDF book you need information on how to place and associate it with your website, read the How to Upload and Link to a PDF File (or PDF ebook) with Dreamweaver section. A different type sometimes used for e-books is the EPC.
If your targeted public mainly uses computer desktop, it may not be the best option, as it needs to have extra softwares installed just to use them. In order to make one, you need an EPUB file that can be saved in EPUB file form. Unhandled HTML file is self-explaining.
Anyone with a web navigator can use it. If you need more than one book for your book, the main drawback of this is that some people get puzzled and don't know which book to work with. In order to generate data in such a form, just use the current website creation tools you currently use, be it free softwares like BlueGriffon or KompoZer or commercially available tools like Dreamweaver.
Obviously, if there are several pages, you probably need to circulate your e-book in some sort or other of archival formats, such as in a zipped files, giving your reader directions on how to extract the files, and what files to click on to begin to read. A further possible is the Windows exe filename (EXE file).
In order to use this standard, you need an e-book "Compiler", which transforms your documents into a Windows-application. If your readers execute the book, an integrated browser displays the book for reading. There are some big drawbacks to this size. First, with the spread of virus and ads on the web, many users are wary of having to run an executable just to view a work.
Publishing your book in this size can put those kind of a scare-off. Second, your audiences are limited to Windows only. Previously, this has had the benefit of not having to tell your viewers to get a specialised reader to view the upload. You can simply double-click on the podcast.
Today, this benefit is more than compensated by its drawbacks and the fact that other forms such as PDF can be easily viewed by most users just by double-clicking, as they already have the reader on their system. Most likely the only residual benefit of this is if you want to place some kind of restriction or safeguard on your e-books, generally referred to as "DRM".
There are e. g. if you sell e-books, and you don't rely your customers not to circulate it to others, some e-book compiler provides properties like inclusive a serial number into each e-book and passcode that protects pages. A number of other copyrighted e-book file types are available, such as those you get when you publish through third parties such as Amazon.com.
Once you have created and put your book on-line, you may also want to create a photo of your eBooks (see the photo below for an example). Though your publishing is not a natural book like a print book, having a 3-D photo of your electronic book is for many purposes: This will give you a pertinent impression for your e-publication.
Because your products are electronical, you don't really have a visual for it. The 3-D book art is as good a visualization as any other. Makes your products appear more accessible in people's heads. Though they know they are going to get an e-book, a photograph of it somehow makes your book more like a rewarding acquisition.
Helping you connect your products with things that are usually associated with a print book: something that contains useful contents that they can either read from or be commented on. Publish ebooks can offer you an extra source of income (if you sell them) and a means to promote your website (there is nothing like a freeie to lure others to your website or your business).
