How to Draft

Drawing is a format in Magic: The Gathering where players select cards from packs to build and play decks. The players then select a single card from the game they open before passing it on to the player sitting next to them. To have a boost draft, you need three things: When every user has found his seat, he opens his first boost package, selects a map from the game and places it face down on the board. When you have done this, hand over the remainder of the game to the players on the lefthand side.

As soon as everyone has got past their packages, take the next package (on the right), take the best map for your decks from that package and put it in your stack and give it back to the neighbour on the south. The game will continue until all of your playing hands have been removed from the game.

You' ll then be given a check time to look at the maps you have selected and find out in which way your decks are heading (usually 60 seconds). When this is finished, each game is opened, each players draws a map and hands the game to the right (packs go links, right, left.).

It goes on as before until all the maps of a game have been selected, and then you get another check time before you open the last game, take a map and turn astray. All drawn or open playing-cards not in the players restricted decks serve as a side board.

When you have 45 playing cards in your stack, it's ready to be made. Booting draft regulations allow you to include as much base ground as you want to your decks and demand that the decks have at least 40 of them. Default number of plots in a design decks is 17-18.

A few kits, like Avacyn Restored or Avise of the Eldrazi, are designed alone without the other kits in their own bloc.
