Aimed at those who wish to connect their creative talent with the university' s literary studies. The creative side of the programme provides the possibility to research a broad palette of writing challanges, incl. poetics and fiction in a multitude of different styles. Academically, it provides a thorough survey of English, Indian, Canadian, US and post-colonial literary works.
However, the presumption behind the course is that the two "sides" are not as separated as they appear, and that dealing with English language as a creative and scientific occupation will enhance your comprehension of the subject. It is designed for those who are interested in a career in the fields of media, editorial, creative writing, multi-media contents and advertisement.
There is a subsidiary subject for this course which provides excellent training for legal, economic, PR, government and professional diplomats. Undergraduates must have an avarage of at least 70% in 3.0 major subjects, of which 0.5 from WRI 1000F/G, 1.0 from ENG 1000 to ENG 1999 and 1.5 from a number of related areas.
