The study of English language and Creative Writing in a combined course enables you to improve your writing abilities and at the same time place your own work and wishes in the broader field of writing. The BA course of studies will introduce you to a wide spectrum of kinds and epochs of literatures, from mediaeval literatures to the 21st cent ury digitized literatures.

This includes unprecedented ressources for the studies of Shakespeare. You' ll receive a basis in all important creative writing genres: poesy, fiction, drama and writing in the canter. You will also discover the proffesional aspect of writing and editorial work and be assisted in discovering your own "voice".

Birmingham-based Creative Writing ranks third in the Complete University Guide 2019. In the QS World University Ranking 2018 for English Language and Literature we are also among the Top 40. The program balances English literature with creative writing over the three years. In Creative Writing you will be developing your abilities as a poet, playwright and playwright for theatre and theater.

Contemporary Creative Writing and Edition modules give you alternate views of the writing experience, enabling you to examine writing at a highly advanced stage and improve your writing ability and analysis. Poesy';'Prose';'Acting and Performance' and'Language for Literature'. The second year you select the modules'Literary History' to improve your level of proficiency and your comprehension of the different epochs of literature. The Creative Writing page allows you to further improve your writing abilities in our'Poetry and Prose' and'Drama and Media Writing' writing courses and gives you an overview of the writing processes in our'Editing' course.

Applicants can spend a year at an accredited college around the globe. You' ll also select a'Creative Writing Special Subject' that focuses on a specific category. British enrolments starting their course of higher education in September 2018 are subject to the highest annual admissible fees charged by the UNBB.
