These 200-cycle classes in literature, poesy and non-fiction are the entry-level classes for the Maj... The 200-step multi-genre handicraft course will introduce the students to the handicraft through intense literacy in poetics, phantasy and non-fiction. It is an intense course in literary literacy and lecturing that aims to shape the way authors write and focus on craftsmanship in the design, monitoring and structuring of works of work.

We' ll present and test 200 workshop keywords and ideas in each category, and we'll be reading a combined poems, literature and non-fiction about every fortnight. We' ll broaden our knowledge of the handicraft and the way authors work within, on the margins or in answer to literature and tradition.

This 200-step course will introduce the pupil to the art of terminology and conceptual design through lectures, tutorials and readings. In the break-out groups the methodology of the workshops (the division and criticism of the initial work of the students) is presented. Undergraduates will acquire fundamental skills in technical terminology and conceptions such as characters, storytelling, setting, narration times, dialog, perspective, voices, and metaphor.

The writing abilities necessary for fictitious writing succes are thereby defined and refined. The pupils perform excercises on the basis of these items and make at least one full length of history. Most of this course is a course for workshops. The terminology and conceptions learnt at the 200 level are used both for the discussion of students' novels and often outside the bibliography. Sometimes, at the teacher's own judgement, handicraft skills are given, but the focus is shifting to the creation of finished story. It emphasizes components of succesful shop technology.

At the end of the course, the participant should be able to speak the fictitious language of the handicraft fluently, should have understood the parts of the brief history, should have made satisfying advances in the creation of a brief history and should know the minutes of the work-shops. In the late stage of his career, the students are in charge of criticizing the work of others with expert knowledge, sensitivity and accountability. It may be necessary to read external text for modelling purpose, as well as inspiring and further training in crafts at the professors own judgement.

This is the standard at which we expect the highest standards of professionalism and refinement, as well as a strong sense of creative work. Every weeks most of the Fribourg Region will receive different suggestions and challanges to create their own poetry, which will be debated in a classwide workshops as well as in small groups and lectures. They will also be writing a work in which they will analyse the most important handicraft aspects of a modern writer.

As well as a package of essay and handout material shared by all the teacher's sessions, the student will use at least one collection of modern poems such as the 8th edition Anthologie zeitgenössischer Poesie, published by A. Poulin, Jr. and Michael Waters (Houghton Mifflin: 2006) or Poems, Poets, Poetry:

He writes at least one verse aweek and 6 - 8 volumes of modern poems and works in workshops with his age group. They will also be reading ?to articles on the crafts and processes of modern writers, and they will be writing two articles at least analysing the main handicraft aspects of modern writers.

Through all these acitivities - writing poetry, workshops, revising their own poetry, Through discussing and writing about the crafts of modern poetry, Through will achieve a differentiated comprehension, both as a critic and as a practitioner, of the activity-writing concept presented in the 200-step course. He or she will acquire skills in these conceptions and concepts: memoirs, essays, portraits, essays, travelogues, literary writing, narratives, dialogues, metaphors, images, scenes, narratives, reflections and research.

Students will be reading a selection of text and discussing technical aspects in non-fiction books. Students acquire writing abilities through practice and writing tasks in various forms of non-fiction writing (e.g. portraits, essays, memoirs). Pupils will test and improve the abilities acquired in the 200-level course. The course contents includes studying literature articles demonstrating a variety of stylistic and aesthetical style, the workshops discussing ongoing work by students and writing tasks that culminate in a project report or a set of finished essay (or work in the other 201 modi that were introduced).

At the end of the course, the participant will be proficient in the technical terms of non-fiction, understanding aspects of non-fiction prosasty and having made satisfying advances in writing a face-to-face essays, memoirs, portraits, essays on travels or other creative non-fiction books. Students will prove their skills in the course of a session based evaluation.

Best American Essays of the Century, Joyce Carol Oates, Herausgeberin, Herausgeberin, Norton Book of Nature Writing, Herausgeber John Elder et Robert Finch. Students will develop and review a book or set of non-fiction books, with workshops to advance the ideas and practice of the review.

The course contents includes writing, workshops, discussions and revisions as well as external readings showing a wide variety of form and aesthetics, among them new formats such as lyrical compositions, hybride shapes and collagees. Students will prove their expertise in writing non-fiction books in a variety of ways, ranging from conventional to new.
