Kent State University | Creative Writing Writing is one of the most sought-after courses of studies at the Kent State's Department of English. Beginning with an introductory course in creative writing, fiction and poetry: The course offers practical experience in various types of creative writing with a certain amount of attention to the interests of our fellow learners and the source of our creative ideas.

The course can be used to partially meet the Writing Minor and is the requirement for Poetry Writing and Professional School. Graduation or simultaneous enrolment in Eng11011 or equiv. The course offers practical experience in writing literature, with special modeling and discussing students' work on a week-to week base.

The course can be used for part of the English Major writing and language studies and part of the Writing Minor. Eng21011 College Writing II (or equivalent) and Eng20021 Presentation to Creative Writing. Different needs differ depending on the section: Please review the timetable for other needs.

The course offers continuous practical experience in the field of writing literature, with special modelling and discussing students' work on a week-to week level. The course can be used for part of the English Major writing and language studies and part of the Writing Minor.
