Join a non-credit course at The Writing Institute, where anyone - from beginner to experienced author, from pre-teenager to retiree - can find a league where they can research their talents, get involved with a particular discipline and awaken their inner author. The Writing Institute offers courses in everything from classic writing studios for literature, non-fiction, memoirs and poems to special courses on subjects such as screenplay, humour, plotting, scripting, script writing, as well as fastfiction and young people's writing.
The Writing Institute has published fiction, memoir, poetry, literature for kids, youth and more. Founded in 1983, The Writing Institute's mission has been the same: to help every author become the author he wants to be.
For a list of all the courses available on line, click here. The six weeks of on-line courses are the ideal way to acquire or improve a new skills. You will need to devote about two to four classes per week to two exciting classes in a pleasant, hands-on study setting.
Experienced teachers design and run each course and you can engage with them and your peers in vibrant on-line discussions. Feel free to login at any moment to take part in your classes. The courses last six long periods with two weekly sessions and begin each and every monthly throughout the year. The most courses cost $95. The timetable appears in our catalogue, which is sent twice a year - January and July - to those who have made an enquiry or applied within the last 6 moths.
