Repairing your textbook manuscript

There are five fast ways to make your book glow! Authoring textbooks is probably the toughest way to write, yet writers get more textbook scripts than any other kind of text. Textbooks are usually 32 pages long, which means that you have about 28 pages of text and illustrations.

Tape the pages together to look like a book and browse through your stories as you turn the pages. Note the speed and the course of the operation. Is there a uniform narrative or are there several pages where nothing particular happens? Is there something on the right or on each double page - an increase in activity, a recurrent sentence, a fun moment - that makes the readers turn the page and see what happens next?

When you use two words to describe a person, try to find a more specific one to do the ploy. You can use specific pictures. Make sure to communicate the narrative through specific imagery that the readers can see and the illustrators can paint. Explain abstracted terms such as emotions with sensorial detail that the person (and reader) can sense, listen, touch, see and like.

Is your storyline a recognizable but unexpected culmination, in which the whole storyline comes together and the protagonist resolves her issue? Does a book page contain this highlight? Is the post-highpoint thing quickly cleared up? Recorded pixels must be full and satisfactory to the user, but should not be pulled out.

Turn it into a book page or less, and your reader won't be hesitant to read your narrative again.

Format Manuscripts

There are many authors' textbooks, web sites and newsletter that can give you tips on how to format your manuscript. Format means how your manuscript will appear on the page - how it will look to the readers. There is no need for complex formating. Hardcopy: Please use the default 8ize. Your first page of your manuscript should contain all your contacts information - name, adress, telephone, e-mail - in the top-landridge. Don't be worried about page break or the layouts as they would appear in the book youpublish. An interested journalist can, however, make a copy of your manuscript and pass it on to her peers.

In the top right of the screen, a headline with your last name will appear, followed by a short description and the page number. When you submit your manuscript as a paper by e-mail, it is twice as important to use a headers. When you submit online, please comply with the publisher's policies.
