About 100+ books to the kids

While I hadn't looked through the book thoroughly before I began to read it to my children, I was too slow to realize that the protagonist was solving his problems by telling lies without having any implications for his choice. As the book ended, we had a good discussion about how the goals didn't warrant the means, and I began to think about how I could be more pro-active in selecting good books for my children.

In order to make a book catalog that I can tell my kids, I have written down books that have influenced me, along with the ages at which I was reading them. In addition, there were testimonials from my relatives, my familiar mates and my children's schoolteachers. I then checked the ages and adequacy of the contents through book review on sites like PluggedIn.com/book-reviews.

It is not advisable to shun all books that have a different view of the world than yours, but it is important to talk about the view of the world with your children if there is one. Unfortunately, a book by someone with a Bible view of the world does not ensure that a book is well-published. Use your good judgment when you find books that your and your loved ones can share.

When you choose a book that works with your children's personality, interests and level of development - physical and mental - you are reading it to them.
