Bachelors of Fine Arts in Creative Writing
It is low level and based on the principle and practice of student-centred, advanced training. BFA appreciates experimenting and encouraging pupils to type in a way that might be new to them.
The BFAW faculty is concerned with the arts of writing and character-based writing, not with the widespread use of it. Now is the closing date for applications for the Undergraduate Program Resolution I and the closing date for applications for the Undergraduate Resolution II is September 7, 2018. BFA in Creative Writing Faculty are authors who are recognised in their field and are publishers and producers from all over the world.
The members of the department work together with the student as departmental advisers throughout the entire term, moderate the group study, teach during the residence and act as second reader for the students' theses. We are a department of the University of Applied Sciences. Our department consists of scientists from Germany and abroad with many years of student support expertise.
The work of the members of the department with the student is focussed, clear and consistent. A Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing is aimed at those who are or will create a major creative writing career in one or more of these literature genres: literature, creative non-fiction, literature, poetics, dramatic writing or hybrids.
In the beginning of the term, the student will spend an intense eight-day stay in Vermont, followed by 16 consecutive week of self-employment and self-reflection in cooperation with a departmental adviser and supervisor. Residences are a place to discover, connect, learn, testify and collaborate with your fellow teachers and other people. Together with counsellors and peer groups, our student work out individual curricula that describe their educational goals for the term.
In close cooperation with the departmental consultants and with the support of our costudents, we are able to determine areas of studies, individual objectives, pertinent ressources and ways to reach these objectives. We also invite our undergraduates to help organise the workshop, speeches, celebrations and other activities designed to encourage, motivate and challenging. In addition to an informative exchange with a teacher and course supervisor, this low-residency scheme links the scope of a collaboration fellowship with the emphasis on personalised learn.
Furthermore, undergraduates with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing will be able to prove a special competence in the humanities: Craftsman' s Training - Pupils are taught to follow their own work carefully, often by reworking a history, a section, a poem or an article several time. Besides reworking their own work, the BFAW faculty also reads the works of other authors who observe and identify the handicraft technologies they could apply in their own work.
For this reason, the BFAW seminarian wants to work conscientiously and meticulously and understands his work in the contexts of other literature-land. Two Genres of Writing - At the height of their study, they should have a fundamental knowledge of Literary tradition, theories, movement and the capacity to recognise the contributions of writing to cultural and social development.
The BFAW student and especially those considering studying should have the skills to express thoughts and information in at least two areas of literature tradition, philosophy and movement. An extensive knowledge of literature allows the student to assess and criticize methods and to suggest new assumptions if necessary.
Therefore, BFAW undergraduates are able to express the writing in narrow readings: texture, vocabulary and other handicraft skills and the effects on the readers. Criticism - At the height of their study, the student should have a fundamental knowledge of the literary tradition, theories, movement and the capacity to recognise the contributions of writing to cultural and social development.

Read and study literature across epochs and civilizations - In the course of their studies, the student deals with writings from earlier ages and civilizations outside their own contexts and familiarities. The aim of this is to help pupils in understanding the traditions and continuities of linguistic art and to help them in identifying writers and movement that could influence their own work.
Cross-cultural literacy also helps pupils to become conscious of the languages and artistic customs from which they come. This series of classes introduces the student in four genres: literature, nonfiction, fiction books and theater. As a rule, the orientation seminar contains lectures in the field, an initiation into the fundamental literature vocabulary of this discipline and some writing activities to generate new works.
Theoretical, cultural and ERA workshops: During each residence, these roundtable sessions will focus on different themes and provide an introduction to examples of the most important and sometimes even sacred documents from different periods and civilizations. Occasionally in the shape of a two-part studio, the studio will also try to bring the student into a bit of writing critically about the text, introducing them to the literature theories, literacy techniques and the practices of writing either literature or their own creative work.
This 25-100-page book is a highly polished and reworked creative work, according to genres; a 15-30-page highly-reflecting critique on handicrafts, which integrates literature critique and an explanation of the author's own work; a reflecting essays on the cultural/social responsibility of the author; a biography and commentary on it; a read of your older student manuscripts to the residential congregation, followed by a Q&A time made possible by members of the BFAW-Fakulty.
