Writing a Book: The Artwork of Disagreement
The most important thing: To be able to compose a good textbook, you need a good notion. Nobody wants to open a novel without an original concept, no difference how well it's spelled. But, let's look at the practicality - how do you actually compose a work? It' s totally free to publish a copy, at least as far as the costs are concerned.
Timing costs are flexible; some users are quicker than others. Let us say you wrote a non-fiction textbook. When you get used to it, it's pretty simple to type an approximate 1,000 words a full page, sometimes even more. Most of us, however, are not in a position to produce a respectable volume in just 60 working hours.
That is because typing a textbook is different from typing magazines or blogs. A tip: Do not try to create a flawless section 1, then a flawless section 2, etc. However, many authors find it much simpler to first create a verbose draft and then take as many sketches as possible for each of them.
It will probably take as long as the real typing because you can no longer disregard the parts you get caught on and disregard the issues. Now, you need to resolve the issues, give more samples, clear things up, and turn your words and chapter into a real one.
Over 80% of respondents say they want to publish a work, but less than 1% do. When you are in the 80%, you can use this way to join the 1% and eventually type your work. The Unconventional Guide to Publishing was launched last months to help authors find out more about the publishing world.
But, as I said, you don't need to buy this manual to make a work. When you want to compose a non-fiction textbook, please read the notes above. Remember everything you know about something, then take it down. Six months later.... you have a work.
This is your year you' re making a novel?
