Can' t keep everyone up to date, so how do you determine which ones are really valuable for your work? Obviously, everyone knows Poetry Magazine, and I'd love to know from a novelist who's not on the New York mailing lists, but there are so many beautiful little books just sitting around awaiting you to browse their web pages to search their archive, reading poems or submitting poems.

In order to find out which illuminated magazines are preferred by the writers, I have looked through the last seven years of the Anthologie The Best American Poetry. That gave me an insightful look at what is on their observation lists. From 2011 to 2017 I went through the directories to see where the verses were initially republished in each and every book and where the publishers probably came across them.

Hopefully this will help you choose good stores for your poems. Do not take this as a complete listing of all the poetry journals you should read. A few illuminated magazines are so young that they are not yet on the Best American Poetry grid, and some of them are simply not recognised for a while.

While the Academy of Américaine Poets Poem-a-Day series has been around for some time, it wasn't introduced to the Best Américaine Poetry until 2015, when it was recorded five more. Occasionally all you need to keep up with literature magazines without getting a million e-mail fixes a days, a few hour to search some and choose what kind of styles you like, whether you want a mix of genres or not if you're interested in graphics and more....

Hopefully this can serve as a starting point for the submission of poems.
