Andrea Brown Literary Agent Laura Rennert has been with the company since 1998. It is something of a "literary omnivore" with far-reaching interests. It specialises in all types of children's literature, from storybooks to young adults. They also represent literary-commercial literature, thriller and psychological tension / horror on the adults' side.

Laura herself is the writer of a pictorial textbook, BOUYING, TRAINING, AND Caring for YOUR DINOSAUR (Knopf/PRH), as well as an illustration of Marc Brown, the maker of Arthur; and an illustration of a chapters of ROYAL PRINCESS ACADEMY: DRAGON DREAMS, by Melanie Florian (Dial/PRH).

She is a lecturer at SCBWI's domestic, provincial and multinational meetings. Her doctorate was in British literature and she was a member of the Department of Business Administration at the University of Virginia, Osaka University of Foreign Studies and Santa Clara University. She is a literary associate of Executive Agent Laura Rennert.

While she loves children's writing, regardless of class or gender, she is particularly fond of enchanting storybooks and tickling tales from the mid-sized business world. Whilst she is enjoying all kinds of music, imagination is her first passion. In addition, she loves friendly tales, equestrian tales, re-narrations of Arthurians and sci-fi that reads like figment.

Her passion is illustrated literature, both literary and non-fiction, which easily reflect a complicated concept. GENEVIEVEVEVE NINE is editorial assistant to Laura Rennert. Genevieve specializes in literature for the mid-sized and young adults and likes to work with authors who interweave stories with layers of well-developed environments and personalities that are threatening to explode from the side.

Before coming to ABLA, Genevieve worked at Andrea Hurst & Associates as an agency and development editorial. Born in Canada and a McGill University alumnus in Montreal, she began her publisher careers at HarperCollins Canada, where she worked as an associate editor in all styles.

Laura studied Old Greece and Romance languages after her move to the United States before returning to the world of publication. Before coming to ABLA, she worked on different sides of the New York City business: with frahling Janis Donnaud & Associates, in bookshelving, as an author and research assistant for a New York Times grocery journalist and as a free-lance journalist for novels and non-fiction.

She has resided on both shores of the United States and Canada, in many states and counties, and currently resides with her mother and daughter in the New York City area. She is the assistant to the managing director Laura Rennert. Her love covers all styles and classes, but her passion will always be for children's literature - from funny storybooks to emotionally charged young adults.

Imagination - especially mythological or folkloric literature - will always occupy a place in her mind. Wordplays and whims are as much appreciated in storybooks as storybooks that link history and information are. She has also worked with Candlewick Press, The Irene Goodman Literary Agency and Charlesbridge.
