To print a Word file in 5.5 x 8.5 format
I' ve recently had the most terrible experience formatting my work. Thought it was in perfect size, but when I got an e-mail from the printers, I realised that the way I configured it was completely incorrect and these adjustments would crop off the top of the page and not allow the page numbers to match the 5.5 x 8.5 page covers at the bottom for which I pay.
This will guide you through the formatting of the borders BEFORE you transform them to Portable Font/Accessories. That was fool-proof for me and I recently began to reformat all my textbooks and share them with my customers. Here's the thing, you have to reconvert your Word file before it is reconverted to one.
Default Word files are 8.5 x 11, so you need to modify them to make them work. Go to the File in your file and click on it. You should now be able to have your paper sent to your printers. As soon as your book comes back from printing, you' re selling LOTS of prints!
If you print a 6 x 9 ledger, simply modify the numbers by entering "6" and "9" in the appropriate places under "Width" and "Height" and it will work.
The best set-up/formatting for Classic (5.5 x 8.5) in word processing
Hi, I'm a bit confused about how to set up and reformat my word processing software for the production of classical (5.5 x 8.5) pages on US 8.5 x 11 pages of hardcopy (2 to one page). I used a page in horizontal mode with 2 col.
However, this does not seem to be quite correct, because I still have to add many additional yields to work on the second page before the first page (left column) is comlete. Then when I make changes to the first page (1st column), the second page often needs to be re-formatted.
